Yes. Times 10 yes.
Unfortunately, I’ve had more than a handful of clients who dropped over $20k on infertility treatment without ever getting a drop of nutrition advice.
Don’t get me wrong. I’m not AT ALL against infertility treatment and I’m so thankful that people have it as an option. I just wish there was a better integration between that and nutrition therapy.
WHY?
Because…as you’ll see in this episode, nutrition has a POWERFUL impact on pregnancy and live birth rates among women struggling with infertility.
In this Episode of the Empowered Nutrition Podcast I share a summary of two recent research papers on infertility and the impact of nutrition. These summaries were published in the Feb/Mar 2020 edition of Paleo Magazine.
- In one study, an improved diet and increased physical activity both increased pregnancy and live birth rates.
- In the other study, toxin exposure was clearly linked to infertility (nutrition plays a major role in detoxification pathways).

In one of the studies, there was an important association found between mom’s iodine status and baby’s IQ, even into elementary school. In the other article, they studied the impact of physical activity and healthy eating on pregnancy outcomes. Get the full research summaries below:
